For its spring series, The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute
will offer presentations both in the morning and afternoon. The
morning offerings, from 10:00 a.m.-noon, will be a series of lectures
by Meg Mott on emotional politics and the roll emotions play in
political philosophy. In the afternoon, from 1:00-3:00 p.m., there
will be slide lectures on great artists including a lecture on Guernico by
Picasso and presentations on the works of Georgia O'Keefe, Winslow
Homer, Edward Hopper, and other artists.
Dates and Times: Begins
April 7, 2008 with morning presentations, 10:00 a.m.-noon and
adternoon presentations, 1:00-3:00 p.m. It continues through
May 12.
Location: Southeast Vermont Learning
Collaborative, 471 Vermont Route 5, Dummerston (the old regional
library)

Cost: $5 per person per session,
includes light refreshments

Membership Information
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in Brattleboro is a community-driven membership organization, dedicated to providing learning opportunities for people 50 and older who are interested in engaging in learning experiences without tests, papers, or grades. The Institute is affiliated with the University of Vermont, with leadership coming from local community members. Membership in the Brattleboro Osher Lifelong Learning Institute entitles members to attend programs in Osher Institutes established around the state. Simply present your membership card during the corresponding semester.
