Teaching Resources

about us

Our Learning Collaborative was built upon several earlier cooperative efforts serving education in southeast Vermont . The Collaborative, which is now a non-profit corporation, opened its doors in 2002. At that time the State of Vermont leased the former regional library in Dummerston to the Town of Dummerston, with the stipulation that the building be sublet to the Collaborative. This has given us a substantial conference and meeting facility, in addition to offices.

Since then, state and federal grants have allowed us to develop a service area covering the twelve southeast Vermont supervisory unions, reaching over two thousand Vermont teachers, with many programs open to New Hampshire teachers as well. The Vermont Department of Education has designated us as one of six Education Service Agencies in the state.

The southeast superintendents and their curriculum coordinators provide essential guidance for this effort.
