This session will repeat the regional presentations of last fall, with some new information added by the presenters. This is a ONE-TIME-ONLY event this spring. There are no other regional meetings scheduled. If you missed the fall events but would like to explore implementation ideas further, please join us! Purpose of this Training:
**To examine key instructional shifts in mathematics implicit in the Common Core State Standards and addressed in the VT-DOE professional learning plans;
**To provide school/district leaders with the knowledge necessary to guide educator understanding of the instructional shifts in the CCSS;
**To prepare those leaders with processes so they can deliver effective professional learning for educators as they implement the CCSS successfully in their classrooms.
Who should attend:
**Teacher leaders in math; District and CTE leadership in math and other content areas (e.g. science, social studies, other technical subjects);
**Educators responsible for oversight/professional learning for supplemental academic services to students including special ed; Title I; after-school;
**Principals, curriculum coordinators, those responsible for preparation of pre-service educators; consultants providing professional learning in the region.
Prerequisites for all participants:
